It's DAY ONE and we are kicking things off with a pizza party! It's a Narwhal Pizza Party- explore all the new books the library has this year. Then get your first fish into the ocean on the library wall! Keep track of all the books you're reading and collect tickets to win one of three AMAZING baskets.

Today it's a Behind the Scenes tour of Ripley's Aquarium. No snorkel or swimsuit needed! You'll join a Ripley’s Aquarium educator as you explore through this interactive virtual program what it takes to run the Aquarium! Are you keeping track on your reading log? Don't forget that the number of books read equal fish on the wall and tickets to win one of those sweet gift baskets!

Using paints and treasures, we will create a TREASURE BOX! Get creative and decorate your very own pirate's chest. The Cocke County Health Department will also be there to talk about healthy choices. And don't forget to keep writing down all the cool books you're reading!

Oceans of CRAFTS! A variety of crafting stations will be set up throughout the library. What will you make? Maybe an ocean-themed suncatcher? You could color a fish hat or a bag and as always, perler beads! Are you keeping track on your reading log? Make sure you count every book.

What's cuddly, maybe quacky, and sure to be a hit with the kids? Animals! Sarah Stokely will be at the Marie Ellison Memorial Library this week with several animals. We also hope you've been keeping track of all your hard work with your reading logs. You will have so many fish on the libary "ocean"!

It's a Cake and Ice Cream Celebration! Bring a towel, bring clothes you can get wet in (and maybe a change of dry clothes). Cake, ice cream, sprinklers and water fun galore! Readers will also be rewarded today with a drawing to win one of three AMAZING gift baskets! Will you take home the Ocean Extravaganza, the Movie Time Explosion, or the Summertime Splash basket?
